Some of the types are of sleep apnea are:
Central: 0.4% of cases are this type. Breathing is interrupted by the lack of respiratory effort.
Obstructive: 84% of cases are of this type and breathing is interrupted by a physical block to airflow despite respiratory effort.
Complex: It may also be termed as mixed sleep apnea and its usually the mix of above two. 15% cases are of this type.
